Born in Hemel Hempstead and hell-raised in Woking, Pete has played in various blues and heavy metal bands in and around the London circuit, including at the Marquee, Border Line, and Royal Standard.

Following this, Pete became a drummer in Cobbler's Thumb, an innovative folk-rock band from East London. When they split, a few years' lay-off followed, largely because of family commitments.

Leatherat is a return to live performances with songs written over the past 10 years. Pete plays a guitar/mandolin double neck and has been known to carry a song or two.
