Jez was born in Bahrain. He started playing in local bands in the early 1990s, including Lewis Edwards, Strangeland, Ariel, and Muppet. He has worked as both a session bassist and as a sound engineer.

For the last few years, Jez has been a professional composer and musician specialising in producing music for film and television.

Although Jez plays bass with Leatherat, he is also a very accomplished 6-string guitar player!
